Ingredients:
- 2 c. flour
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 3 heaping tsp. baking powder
- 1 c. milk
Method:
- Sift flour, salt and baking powder together into a medium bowl.
- Add milk gradually, folding into dry mixture to form a dough.
- Roll out to 1/4 inch thickness and cut into strips and then squares.
- Cook in deep fryer or in pan of boiling oil. Remove when golden brown.
Tips:
- For a dessert-like twist, pieces can be dipped in powdered sugar or cinnamon sugar when first removed from oil.
Makes about 4 dozen pieces.
